Who Should Attend?

The Standard Course is aimed at existing and prospective sound team members and will give them the basic understanding and confidence to competently set and run sound system in your church or school.

The
Level 2 Course is for the more experienced sound operator who needs to know more than just the operation, but is required to set up and maintain the installation as well as cater for more complex requirements. Since this course follows directly on from the Standard course, it is recommended that the prospective student complete that course first.

Standard Course dealing with:

  • Fundamentals of Mixing and Mixing Consoles
  • Cables and connectors
  • Input and output devices (Microphones, guitars, Keyboards & speakers, monitors etc)
  • Setting up a channel
  • "Getting a Mix"

  • Processors (Reverb, Delay etc)

When is the course run?
Initially each course will be run over 2 Saturdays, providing a total of 8 hours of training. Courses will be run at other times if demand requires it.
